CPP to hold National Executive Council Meeting
The Convention People's Party (CPP) would hold a National Executive Council meeting on Saturday to discuss the Nkrumaist unity accord with the People's National Convention. A statement by Dr Nii Noi Dowuona, General Secretary, said the meeting would receive a report on the unity agreement and discuss a comprehensive organizational programme to rebuild a formidable and united CPP.
The statement said the meeting would bring together members of the Central Committee, National Officers of the Party, Members of Parliament, Regional Steering Committees and representatives of the Council of Elders, Women's League, overseas and tertiary institutions branches.
The Central Committee at its meeting held in Accra on October 27 appealed to the rank and file to give active support to the unity and organization agenda in a bid to mobilize all available material and human resources of the political family to present a sound pragmatic agenda that would meet the wishes and aspirations of the electorate.
